The NHRA mid-winter testing continues today in south Florida at Palm Beach International Racway with drivers Tony Schumacher and Larry Dixon posting strong runs so far. Yesterday Dixon made several runs in his Al Anabi dragster that included a best of 3,767 at over 322 mph! That’s the quickest and fastest run ever record for the 1,000 foot distance! Tony Schumacher ran a fast time of 3.784 at 320.97 mph.
Antron Brown was not going to let those two guys have all the fun. Brown ran his Schumacher Racing Matco Tools entry to runs of 3.868, 3.852, and 3.880. Antron’s Scvhumacher Racing teammate, Cory McClenathan also topped 320 mph in his Fram sponsored fueler.
Testing in Florida continues through the week before teams begin to head west for additional test sessions in Phoenix and Las Vegas in preparation for the 50th annual Kragen O’Reilly NHRA Winternationals, Feb. 11-14 in Pomona, California.
